新元号決定：令和 04月01日
今日の一文です。

政府は4月1日「平成」に代わる新たな元号を「令和」と発表した。
新たな元号は、最初とされる「大化」から数えて248番目となる。
「令和」は日本最古の歌集「万葉集」から取られたもので、これまでの元号のほとんどが中国の古典から選ばれており、今回、初めて日本の古典から選ばれた。

The Japanese government announced today the much-awaited name of Japan's 248th era as "Reiwa"（令和）.
Reiwa was selected from Japan's most ancient Manyoshu poetry anthology. Although most era names have been taken from Chinese classical literature so far, it is the first time that the name was picked from the Japanese Classics.
